Sarah

A smallish pastel pencil sketch of my daughter Sarah. When she visited the other day I snapped a few photos of her.

Lovely! Nice movement! You always come up with great poses for your models! I enjoyed visiting your blog today. Lots of inspiration as usual. Thanks!

Thanks again Tonya. I did manage to get a photo of my daughter after complaining that she never has time to pose for me. :)

rosalie I really enjoy your style. How long did it take you to be so free with your strokes?

Hi Fay, Thanks for looking. I think I started using pastel pencil about 12 years ago and found the 'feel' of it very freeing. Just about every stroke can be easily altered if needed and I think that results in an easy going approach .. 'most of the time' lol :)

I need to try pastel pencil again some time. So many mediums so little time.
