Wendy Sharpe Exhibition - Burlesque & Backstage

When Wendy Sharpe visited Paris last year she attended an auction at the Folies Bergere where they were auctioning off costumes and props of yesteryear.  Wendy bought some of the headresses and costumes worn by the showgirls of the past.  The headresses had the name 'Francine' handwritten on the inside.  Wendy chose Sarah (my daughter above) to sit for the paintings of Francine.  There are five paintings of Francine altogether.  This one is called 'Sarah as Francine with Ostrich Feathers'.  We did a google search for Francine and may have found her - a showgirl in 1951 at the Folies Bergere.
